I Hate Everyone

Today was a good day. My friend picked me up in her mustang, and we drove across the city with her top down blasting N*sync and Icona Pop. We ended up going to the LF sale, and I picked up a cute purse and a new pair of Jeffrey Campbell flats!

The weather was nice, and I didn't go over board on the spending. However, I can't speak for my friend! It was a great day that ended with burritos for dinner with my dad, and watching 13 Going On 30 on Netflix.

My cousin is visiting us from Berlin for 6 weeks, which hopefully wont distract me from posting regularly. This dress is so comfy, but I must admit, not the most flattering if you have boobs (which is visible in my photos lol). Free People has this same dress shape in multiple dresses, maxi dresses included. At Coachella I bumped into a ton of girls wearing all the different styles of this dress. Oddly enough, the combination that I own, I havent seen anywhere else; this happens to me pretty often with FP pieces. Have any of you seen it before?

Summer Whites

Like I promised, no more ombre! THANK GOD! While dying my hair back to dark brown, I had a mishap, and all my hair was jet black! Every time I looked in the mirror I felt like I should go audition for some horror films, because I had the right look. My mind went back to 8th/9th grade, when the scene kid days were big, because thats how I looked. Obviously, I had a large array of emotions, all bad, towards this unfortunate chain of reaction. I tried dish soap, lemon juice, nothing worked. Then I took a chance, and opened my bleach that I was going to use later on, and put it all over my head for 5 minutes; I didn't want to risk going too light. I then bleached the bottom of my head as originally planned to do later, so I wouldn't waste the bleach that had already been opened. When I finished I put in some conditioner, and slept with it in (too much dying for one day!). This morning I washed my hair, blow dried/styled it as normal, and I am so happy with the results! The bottom needs some more work for what I want, but I'll get there soon! What do you think? Obviously you cant see much of my hair with what Im wearing today, but you get the gist of it right?

Caught In The Net

Remember that collection Nasty Gal come out with not that long ago? It had a lot of clear pieces, but mostly mesh/fishnet items. When that collection came out (i stalked their archives put couldnt find it), I remembered this white mesh hoodie and booty shorts that my mom brought me back from her trip to Florida a few years ago. It was more of a gag gift then, but I knew to keep them around for future use.  Today while getting dressed I was trying to find a light weight jacket of some sort to wear, but I STILL havent fully unpacked yet, which makes it difficult for me to find things. While digging through my closet this net hoodie fell onto my lap, and I knew it would be perfect!

Flow With The Wind

I got this so called "dress" at free people a few months ago, and the lovely girls who work there were telling me how its so practical because it can be worn buttoned down as a dress or unbottoned as a kimono. I had only tried it on as a kimono and fell in love, but later when I got home I tried buttoning it and the buttons only go to my belly button. Now I don't consider myself THAT tall at 5'10, but how tall are these girls who can wear it buttoned as a dress? It's still an amazing piece, and I love wearing things that flow behind me when I walk. When I strut through the streets wearing this I feel like a princess/diva!

Flower x Power

You know how excited I was about the Lazy Oaf x Nasty Gal collection, and that the flower power dress I had ordered had finally showed up yesterday. The dress is so much fun, and really comfortable; such a good festival dress! While wearing all I really want to do is dance around, even though today I wore it to do my online east asian art history assignments. If I end up going to Outside Lands this year, it will most likely wear this dress on one of the days of the festival!

You've Got Mail!

I recently ordered the One Teaspoon shadow bikini top, Jeffrey Campbell Cayman multi-buckle platform sandals and the Deena & Ozzy dirty little mouth "meow" belt from Urban Outfitters, and they finally came today! What I was most excited about out of all three items, was the One Teaspoon top.

I've had my eye on that top since it first came out over a year ago! I always figured it just wouldn't fit on a girl with boobs, and so never bought it. Back in April at Coachella, I stood next to a girl during 2 Chainz who had bigger boobs and was wearing it, and it looked great. When I saw that Urban Outfitters got it in, I knew I just had to order it to try it on for myself. The thing I love about Urban Outfitters is that you can so easily return or exchange things by just walking into the nearest store to you, and Im not just saying this cause Im an employee! Anyways, the first thing I did when this package from Urban arrived was try on the top, and I must say, it couldnt fit better! Just in case any of you bigger boobed gals are interested in seeing how the bikini looks with boobs in it, i have this shitty webcam pic for you. I went crazy trying to look for a picture of how this bikini looked filled out more.

There isn't much to say about the Jeffrey Campbell sandals because they speak for themselves. When I tried them on today, I did notice how amazingly comfy they are. I honestly haven't had shoes on in awhile that made me feel that way. The red sole is a lot of fun, and it matches so many pieces I have bought for the summer. I can't wait to style these babies (you can expect to see them some time this week)!

In case you didn't already know, I am quite cat obsessed. Back when I worked at American Apparel my nickname was "Crazy Cat Lady". I own two cats of my own, and about a hundred items of "cat apparel". This belt just became number 101. It was more of a little gag buy, but I know I'll get some use out of it too! And it was definitely a plus that I only spent $10 on it (original price 18 - dont worry guys, its still do able!).

p.s. my nastygal package came today too, so get ready for tomorrow's look!

That Kind Of Day

The warm weather streak San Francisco has been having seems to be coming to a stop (as I am typing this the sun starts coming out), which is actually a blessing in disguise since my online courses have started last week. This way I wont be distracted by friends asking to go to the park or the beach. Another reason why I need to stay home is because my Nastygal package is expected to arrive today, and I am not risking having to wait another day for my new Lazy Oaf x Nasty Gal dress (which you can expect to see styled and on the blog tomorrow)!

Whenever I am home for vacation, and have nothing to keep my schedule going, I tend to become nocturnal. I'll stay up until 5 or 6 am and then wake up at 3pm and have wasted my whole day. I always try to pull all nighters to get back on a normal routine, (I promise Im actually a morning person!) but always end up falling asleep the next day at noon and having the to do the whole thing over again. I can't be the only person who this happens to, can I? Anyway, Im only mentioning this because I officially havent slept in... looks at the time in the top corner of my computer.... 25 hours now, and this time I will stay up until midnight tonight! My outfit of the day was specifically chosen because for some strange reason I become very hyperactive when I wear my overalls (ask any of my friends from school). Hopefully they do the trick, wish me luck!

Cat ON The Hat

Yesterday on my way to the grocery store I stopped by the auto shop to see how much its going to cost me to fix my mom's car after getting into a car accident on Sunday; its not too bad, but to have it done before the weekend I had to leave the car there. While walking from the auto shop to the grocery store I decided to stop at Best Buy, and I finally picked up a new charger for my DSLR battery. So happy to finally take good qualtiy photos again.... iPhone photos are just not in the same ranking.

I havent fully unpacked from coming home from New York for the summer, which makes it difficult to get dressed in the morning. The dress I'm wearing in today's post was my last purchase before leaving New York (I still don't understand why there isn't a Free People store in San Francisco). Right when I saw it in the store I thought it would look great with one of my black cowboy hats (I have three). One of them I had put in my storage unit in Manhattan, and the other I left with my friend after Coachella, because I didn't want to carry it on the plane along with my two carry-ons. So I dug out my old cowboy hat that I have since I was 8. It fits a little tight on my head (I sadly had to remove the cow fur belt that goes around the rim because it wouldn't fit at all with it on). It's covered in one of my cat, Minou's white fur, and there was no lint roller in sight. Hence the title of this post. All in all, I hope I have something to do today, so this outfit doesn't go to waste (it's been pretty boring in San Francisco this week), god, I miss working.
