Ibiza Pt. 1 (BEACH)

I had THE best time in Ibiza, and ended up taking wayyyy too many amazing photos. So I decided to share them with you all by doing multiple blog posts. One about the beaches, one about our nights out, one about our day excursions, and one about The 1975 concert - you're all going to love that one!
So here we go with part one: beaches.
I must say neither California, Ecuador or Greece compared to the beaches in Ibiza! The water is so clear, and such gorgeous colors. I never wanted to leave! I know most people go for the clubbing, but that wasn't even in the same field than the beaches. Just look at these photos.

(Conny does not tan... at all. No matter how hard she tries!)

I'm gonna try to make it back out there next summer! It was just so amazing!

Third Wheeling in Nürnberg

I took a 2 hour train ride from my grandmothers house to visit my best friend Mona and her boyfriend Basti for 2 days. So basically I was being a major third wheel! (;
It was amazing to see them though, Basti I last saw at our high school graduation, and Mona over thanksgiving break when I flew out to Germany. Not being able to see your best friends for long periods of time really sucks, but it makes the time you spend together so much more special!

While I was in Nürnberg my wallet was stolen out of my bag. Major down side to my whole summer vacation because all my credit cards,  my debit card, student ID and drivers license are now gone. Spend a few hour calling all my banks to cancel the cards, and didnt have a cent to my name. Luckily my grandma lend me some money to hold me over until my new cards arrived to my friends apartment in Vienna, but I still had 10 days in Ibiza before then. Worst of all, my Hale and Hearty soup card was all stamped up and ready to be turned in for a free soup, but it is now gone forever.... Do you have any idea how long it takes to fill up a 10 stamp soup card??
Just because my wallet went missing doesn't mean my time in Nürnberg was ruined. Just being with Mona was worth it all. I love her so much, and miss her when we're not together. Can't wait to see her again when I take her with me to the grandparents over christmas!!!

Crete, Greece

First stop on my summer vacation: Crete, Greece. My grandma wanted to spend some time with me and actually do something instead of just hanging out in the small town she lives in, in Southern Germany. I had talked to my dad not too long ago about my list of places I still need to visit before I die and I guess he forwarded the information to her. Since Greece was near the top of my list, and not hard to get to from Germany it was an easy choice. She booked us a cheap all inclusive resort for 8 days, flight included. The resort itself is family orientated, aka loads of little kids running around, and even had a water park with 6 different slides (which I avoided) and a private beach.

(stray cats, the black one looks just like my Friday!)

(freeeeeeeee, but sadly they didn't taste that good)

(not even slightly burnt, just tan from the very first day there! thanks OneTeaspoon lol)

(free beer at the beach)

(picked up these cute leather friendship bracelets for all my friends I plan on meeting up with later this summer)

(and sent out tons of postcards)

I'm not gonna lie though, it was beautiful, but I hate resort vacations. You stay in the resort the whole time and don't see anything of the place you visited. We wanted to take a day trip to Santorini. One of the main places I've always wanted to see in Greece, next to Athens. However to get there from the resort you first have to take an hour long bus ride, then a 2 hour long boat ride, pay an entry free to Santorini and then do the whole thing again to get back a few hours later. It was also a 250 euro price tag per person. I was still down to do it, but my grandma gets super seasick and I could tell she was just super not down to go. Still, the beach was beautiful and my tan looks amazing now! Perfect for my next big location: Ibiza!

Travel Time

(I wanted to post this before I started my summer vacation, but was way too busy getting my final projects out of the way and cleaning up my apartment for my subletters.... so lets pretend you are reading this 2 months ago.)
School's out for summer, and I am almost (I have 2 more credits to earn before its official) a college grad! To celebrate my last real summer of freedom, aka before I have to get a real job, I decided to travel to Europe and visit my friends and family.

My Travel Plans:

NYC - Munich
Munich - Greece
Greece - Southern Germany
Frankfurt - Ibiza
Ibiza - Vienna
Vienna - Bremen
Bremen - Berlin
Berlin - San Francisco
San Francisco - NYC

Passport ready, let's do this!

I Hate Everyone

Today was a good day. My friend picked me up in her mustang, and we drove across the city with her top down blasting N*sync and Icona Pop. We ended up going to the LF sale, and I picked up a cute purse and a new pair of Jeffrey Campbell flats!

The weather was nice, and I didn't go over board on the spending. However, I can't speak for my friend! It was a great day that ended with burritos for dinner with my dad, and watching 13 Going On 30 on Netflix.

Currently Vibing: August

The last month of summer vacation: beaches, rad bathing suites, roller skates, cotton candy and ice cream.

1. Roller skates: In every single thrift store I went into this summer I saw at least one pair of roller skates. You don't even know how tempted I was to buy a pair. What kept me from doing that are my memories of trying to learn how when I was younger. Something that still confuses me is, how come roller blading is easier than roller skating? For now I will just whip out my old roller blades and take a few rides around the block.
2. Fun hair accessories: Did some early spring cleaning around the house recently, and found so many great hair clips. Some with bows, some shaped as hearts or guitars. So ready to rock these through out the rest of the summer and for back to school too!
3. Kimonos: How long have I been looking for the perfect kimono.... the never ending search. There are so many great ones out there, just be prepared to pay the price!
4. Tan lines: We still have one month to grab the tanning oils and hit the beach. For those of you who live in places without tanning weather like me, you can either hit the beds or pick up a pack of fake tan. I personally wish I had the perfect summer tan for going back to school, but am facing the facts that it just wont happen for me. Maybe once school starts up again, I'll have a chance to darken up a bit. Don't worry though, light skin is sexy too!
5. Ice cream: I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice scream! Nothing screams summer more than I nice cold creamy goodness! If you haven't sat in the sun with your friends licking a cold cone yet, make sure to put it on the top of your to do list before summer ends!
6. Rad bathing suites: Bikini's, tankini's, full or with cut outs: spending the rest of the summer at a beach, water park, pool, or just your fire escape cannot be completed without a bathing suite that will make everyone else look like they shop at walmart! (Don't take me wrong, walmart isn't a bad place to buy a bathing suite, one of mine is from there.)
7. Cotton candy: I went to an amusement park recently, and felt the need to do all stereotypical things you do at amusement parks. That includes walking through the park picking at my giant cotton candy stick! I completely forgot how good it is!!
8. Beaches: Sun bathing, swimming, picnicking, bonfires, being with friends: the best place to do that is at the beach. Unfortunately not all can be done at the beaches here at home. To all the people who travelled to beautiful tropical beaches over the summer: e-mail me your pictures, I'd love the see them! I wish I spent the summer in Ecuador instead of San Francisco...
