Basket Ball Wife?

I decided to do my own version of the very popular look: jersey, boy friend jeans, ankle strap heels. Since I hate pants on myself, (its true, sometimes I can wear some, but not usually..) I decided to wear a PU leather circle skirt. Originally I wanted to wear my denim circle skirt, but it was too off putting with my leather eyelet booties and the black/gold jersey; leather just seemed like a much better fit. It is also very cold in San Francisco today, hence my gold oversized knit and my homies beanie. I would have loved to throw a leather jacket over this (in addition to the gold knit), however I still haven't found the perfect jacket. I found one online, but buying jackets online can get really difficult with sizing/material/etc. I need a nice leather jacket before the fall hits in New York..!!

You've Got Mail

While I was up in Shasta I got pretty bored at times, and my weakness is that when I'm bored I like to shop. So I looked through all my favorite online stores, but since I am currently unemployed, there wasn't much to spend.... here is what I picked up.

1. Beauty Forever's Fetch Beanie
2. Lime Crime Lipstick in Airborne Unicorn
3. NastyGal exclusive Half Moon Magic Shades by Le Specs

Back in my "scene kid" days, my fashion/style icons were Audrey Kitching, Hanna Beth and Jeffree Star (who's weren't?). All three still very much around today. Jeffree Star now has his own label, Beauty Forever. I first found this beanie on tumblr, and fell in love with it. Gretchen Wieners knew what she was doing when she tried to make "fetch" happen in the movie Mean Girls, because everyone can quote Regina George: "Gretchen, stop trying to make 'Fetch' happen". When I first wanted to buy it, it was sold out. When surfing through Karmaloop, I found out that they had just gotten it in stick and I was stoked! I will definitely be wearing this beanie tons while still in San Francisco for the summer, because we don't always have the best summers, and then again in New York once fall stars rolling in. It will look great with a pair of back skinnies, a dark purple crop top, and some leather booties.

If you follow me on twitter you would have seen my tweet about wanted lipsticks in all colors of the rainbow. Lime Crime has lipsticks in so many fun vibrant colors, including blue and yellow! I decided just to get this one color first to make sure the quality of the lipstick is okay, plus I've been wanting a nice purple shade for months, but never found the right one. Lime crime lipstick goes on really well, it feels a little oily at first, but then dries and you forget you even have any on. I don't know yet how long it lasts, but I will make sure to let you guys know once I do. So far, I am planning on buying some more of their lipstick colors! Urban Outfitters has them for sale, but are selling out quick, I got this one from Karmaloop, who also sell all colors!

You don't know how many times I have put these babies into my cart without buying them, and finally went for it. I never liked buying sunglasses online, scared that they wouldn't suit my face (returning online purchases is such a hassel, I always think about my purchases to make sure I will like them to avoid it). I have been wanted clear sunglasses ever since I saw the Wildfox Couture bell air frames in clear. I never got them because 1) they are really pricey, and 2) they were sold out everywhere! These guys are amazing though. The bright colored frames are so much fun, and they fit/look amazing on! Also, the price is perfect, $60 sunglasses > $300 sunglasses.

Animal Instinct

I'm back from my week and a half break up in Mt. Shasta. Did a lot of swimming, eating, and tv watching. SO HAPPY to be back home, and in the city.
Today I decided to wear my Harley dress. Since it doesn't have much shape, I gave myself more definition through the heels and jacket. When I first got the dress I didn't know if I wanted to keep it or not, but people kept telling me they like it and that I should keep it, so I guess I will. Why not right? It's not like my closet hasn't already exploded and expanded to an overflowing dresser and sofa! haha.

Currently Vibing: July

From neon signs, chockers, hair and shoes all the way to Miley Cyrus' new video.... this is my inspiration for the next 31 days.

1. Neon signs. I went on a family trip to the movies to watch Bling Ring, and in the movie "Lindsey Lohan" had a pink neon sign that read "Lindsey" up on her mirror, and now I want one too! So if you don't know what you want to get me for christmas or my 21st birthday, (dont worry its not til February!) you can get me a custom made neon sign that reads "metacakes"!
2. Tattoo Chokers. They have been on my mind for almost a year already. Before I left for college I found my old black one from when I was younger. Now I need to make sure to find it again!!
3. PINK. As you can already tell from my latest outfit posts, I've been diggin' the pink. It's back, and it's back for good!
4. Layers & Prints. I'm always a fan of layering, but am definitely going to try to mix prints more. I know its been going on forever, I just don't own many prints to begin with! That's going to change, so look out!
5. Miley Cyrus. She's been doing it right for awhile now. I always was a fan of hers, but never thought she was very attractive. However, the older she gets the hotter she gets! In addition, her style has been on point lately. Her new music video is clear proof of that. If you haven't seen it yet, something is wrong with you.
6. JuJu Jellies. I always wanted a pair of jelly sandals. When I was little they were all the rage, all my friends had them, but my mother never got them for me! Finally they are back, but always sold out everywhere! Dollskill and Urban Outfitters just got them in stock, I'm getting mine this week, when are you getting yours?
7. Hairspiration. If you read my blog, you knew about me wanting to go blonde, chickening out, and then getting rid of my ombre. You also probably noticed that part of my hair is bleached. Well the plan was to do exactly what is on this picture. Either teal or violet (i got both), now I just need to do a few more lightings, and its ready to go!
8. Antlers. I've been looking around etsy and ebay for a great pair of antlers that I can use as a coat rack. Yes, that means I need a HUGE pair of antlers. Sadly, my cousin just informed me that he tried to buy a aligator skull online, and it never made it through customs.... so it might be harder than I thought to buy a great set of antlers after all.
9. Jeans. I've spent a lot of my summer so far watching the first few seasons of Melrose Place and Beverly Hills, 90210. Now I know that I truly need a pair of high wasted vintage fit pair of jeans in my life. Only problem is I look shit in jeans, so I need to work on that first.

WHAT ARE YOU VIBING ON FOR JULY?

A Little Shopping (haul)

I had a dentist appointment today, so we used that as an excuse to take my cousin downtown and show him around (+do some shopping). We also ate a lot of good (and some weird) food in China Town. Take a look at what I brought home with me...

Black & White Suspender Shorts - Forever 21
Gold #13 Jersey - Forever 21
High Waisted Leather Quilted Shorts - Forever 21

Fringe Muscle Tees - Wildfox Couture

Volcano Cropped Sweatshirt Top - Urban Outfitters
Silver Watch - American Exchange
Printed Maxi - Nordstrom
Pink Semi Clear Jelly Bag - Forever 21

I know a lot of people, like the girls at my school, hate forever 21, but I just dont see it. Sure the quality isn't the best, and the designs are all copied from more expensive popular items.... but the prices are so nice! I can never find a lot when I go, but I always find a few items that I love. Like my new hot pink jelly bag that matches my new fur coat amazingly! Also, you cant deny that the golden jersey isn't amazing! I'm a little worried about that one getting too popular though, but we'll see...
I am also kind of tired of the fringe tanks (guess how many were at forever 21 as well!) but these two wildfox couture tops were only $20 each, so I had to get them. I can definitely wear them enough times for the $40 to have been well put to use.
When going to Urban Outfitters I was a little hesitant because I lost my employee discount for the summer (so upset about this, they gave me no warning!), but I decided just to scrawl through the sale. I only found this one crop top anyway, and my dads birthday present, its coming up soon!
For the watch, all I have to say is that I needed a silver watch because I am SO tired of always having to coordinate my jewelry to not clash with my gold Casio. I'm a watch girl, I feel so completely lost without one on.... This one is decent, but I couldn't find any thing nicer within my price range.
What pieces that I picked up today do you like best?

Its A Pink Thing

I have really been into pink lately, as you can tell from my recent outfits. But this new hot pink fur coat is just the most amazing thing ever! I bought it at a perfect time too, most of you probably are having hot summer weather, but today it was cold and rainy in San Francisco. The rain is on and off, hence the sweater wrapped around my waist, dont want to get my new fur wet, so if I decide to go outside when its raining I just switch. I do miss the nice weather though, so my mom, my cousin and I are going back up to the Mt. Shasta area on Wednesday. Sun, lakes, rivers for a week will do me some good!

Flea Market Finds

On the way to the beach yesterday we drove by the parking lot where our local flea market takes place. I haven't gone in years, and decided I need to go soon since I love flea markets, garage sale, etc. Later that evening my friend wrote me asking if we should go to the flea market - it was like she read my mind! So this morning my cousin and I met up with my two of my friends at the market and took a look around. I wanted to snap some more pictures of things I liked/stands/people, but the nice weather we have been having is officially over, the rain has come. I did end of finding some pretty awesome stuff though! Sadly the turquoise stone covered silver cuff bracelet with removable watch face didn't come home with me, but here is what did:

Pendants from Afganistan (haggled down $5)

Uncut Stones (haggled down $1)

Pink Rabbit Fur Coat (reversible!)

TOTAL SPENT: $45!
